“Of Life and Boats”

Just about a month from now I’m set adrift, with a diploma for a sail and lots of nerve for oars.  ~Richard Halliburton

They say that every day we graduate when we triumph over trials that come our way. Life after graduation is like getting on a boat. The boat moves only when we move the oars, just like how our life will change if we will it to    happen. The current may take us to different places but it is entirely up to us how we will control where we will go. With every stroke we make, we   complete it by looking ahead and at the same time glancing at where we have been.

Setting our course will certainly get us to where we are headed but glancing backwards is just as important. We need to remember the mistakes we had made so that we can avoid the same pitfalls. Picture1We need to remember who helped us get to where we are with the hopes of someday being able to do the same thing for others. Moreover, we need to know who made it all possible and the sacrifices that have been done in order for us to enjoy this life. This way we can become the best that we can so that they will not look at what we have done but the fruit of that sacrifice.

We are only given but one life…live it like how you row a boat, with       determination.

Your schooling may be over, but remember that your education still  continues. ~Author Unknown
