Life is a balancing act. You need to keep your head up and your feet on the ground, while allowing your heart to go wherever it pleases! – Susan Gale
Looking at the quote taken from Susan Gale, it says that in order for us to find the right balance in life, we should set our sights to what lies ahead, to have a goal in life and strive hard to achieve our goal. To counter balance this, we should remember to the stay true to ourselves and the people around us. The last part would be the role of the heart. In ancient Egypt, a god named Anubis would weigh ones heart to know if he/she can go to the afterlife. In our case, our heart is the seat of emotions. Although we debate over the use of logic and emotions when faced with a difficult decision, when used with the right balance, often times we come up with the best decisions.
In life, we cannot go around carrying a scale to measure our actions. What we can have, however, is a moral compass which will serve as our guide for morally appropriate behavior.
In finding the right balance in our lives, we need to list down our priorities, strive to achieve our goals with compassion and anchor our faith in God. We cannot please everyone. Instead, we should strive to do things which would be pleasing to the eyes of our Creator.
